black political organizing, maroon communities in the Américas, quilombola social movements, land-grabbing, and black geographies

Biography, Education and Training

I am a 2nd-year Ph.D. Student in the Latin American and Latino Studies program, originally from southern Brazil. I received my B.A. in Psychology from the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 2022, for which I wrote my undergraduate thesis, "Silence does not erase the past: Education in race and ethnicity within Brazilian academic education in Psychology".
