Selected Presentations

New Orleans-raised Dominican historian Rafael Delgadillo shares his research on New Orleans’ historic economic and cultural connections with Latin America. This Virtual Field Trip focuses on how a riot, Spanish-language newspapers, and Latin American exiles in 19th century New Orleans can help us understand contemporary migration flows and the emergence of Latinx communities in the New Orleans metro area.
