Latin American and Latino Studies (LALS) associate professor Jessica Taft makes the case for taking children more seriously in the realms of work and activism. Her book could not have come at a more appropriate time, just before the youth climate strike that saw thousands of teenagers protesting in cities across the globe.

The Kids are in Charge: Activism and Power in Peru's Movement of Working Children is available now, and Taft has found a receptive audience for her ideas in several media outlets.
